Industrial sliding doors make better use of available space by providing a larger opening area with less obstruction. Instead of swinging on hinges, these doors open horizontally by sliding parallel to a wall and are suspended from a top track (with a bottom guide) or rolling over bottom castor wheels.
The sizes available are feasibly limitless, particularly in terms of width, and all sliding doors are custom made and designed for specific applications. Most doors can be installed either inside or outside of the opening. Sliding doors overall security is excellent because it is difficult to force a panel that overlaps the structure it is fitted to, and it is effectively secured on all four sides, encapsulated in tracking and channel sections. Hook locks or heavy-duty locking bolt systems are used.
